It’s a great day to be a Pirate, Pirates!

What’s the challenge for the day today?

Resistance

Resistance means "refusal to comply with or accept something."
An individual person can put up resistance against something she disagrees with or doesn't want to participate in.

The Challenge

The resistance I’m focusing on is the opportunity to be creative, and an unseen force is holding you back. Oh NO!

This is the worst kind of resistance because YOU are holding YOU back.

Have you ever had the experience of knowing you need to complete a task only to hit a brick wall of resistance? It Sucks!

Considerations

Sometimes the only way I’ve been able to get past it is to push through it.

Many times it’s just a feeling of fear or of being judged.

Other times it might be a bit of the perfectionist showing up and telling us that we’re not ready.

For me, it’s a time, attention, and focus issue. I love the creative process and still have issues completing everything I care to create.

I create every day and run into resistance constantly, as I know I cannot complete everything I would like to complete.

Creative Content

People have asked why I create a daily newsletter, and it’s because the daily process creates a habit that I enjoy.

When I was creating a long-form blog post every week, it seemed like I would wait until the last minute before it was published. PRESSURE

So, I enjoy creating this newsletter toward the end of the day before I shut it down for the night.

The day is done, the distractions have passed, and I’m focused on the creative process.

BOOM 

I'm guessing I’ve created about 70 issues, which doesn’t matter as I continue the daily routine to crush the resistance.

Conclusions

In a world of AI and daily change, we must remember we can create whatever we desire because YOU ARE THE MEDIA!

You’re a Digital Pirate sailing the interwebs and have the ability to create anything you desire.

We’re surrounded by abundance and opportunity. Learning how to see past the obstacles and the resistance is the way to succeed on this Pirate Journey.
