Documenting Your Creative Journey

How Much and what do you share? Let's talk about it.

The Challenge

Are you documenting your journey?

It's challenging to be completely vulnerable when sharing our story.

We have the opportunity to create a journey others can follow and share the outcomes, good or bad.

It does, however, leave us open to criticism and negative feedback.

So if you decide to share your journey to allow people to support your efforts, you have to be open to criticism.

It's a simple equation once you decide to use your journey for content.

Considerations

There are a few considerations to consider when sharing the details of your development.

How much do I share?

How often should I share it?

Where will I share it? Blog? YouTube?

Any Platform will create an audience and develop a community for your story.

Keep being consistent with the message.

Like this newsletter, I'm creating and sharing the content with the Creator Community and building relationships with people that want to learn how to create something unique.

Creative Content

Let's review an example of the creative process or documenting your journey.

The creative process for The Pirate Syndicate is simple;

Create a newsletter and invite other creators to publish content. Many creators still need to take steps to create their technology stack. Invite them to join the party to start building their skills.

These contributors are the Pirate Crew.

Teach, Learn, and grow together.

The next step is to include Livestreaming and podcast interviews to share topics that promote skills for the community.

We are creating Content, Community, Conversations, and Coaching along the way.

Livestream Podcasts support the promotion of the newsletter, which promotes the growth of the podcast content—creating a flywheel effect.

Conclusions

We all have a gift to share, and sharing can be considered scary for many of us in the creative space.

Once we get past the idea that our dreams are more important than the fear of being judged, we can all move on.

Your dreams are more important than those doing nothing and complaining about their progress.

You don't need to be accepted by others.
You need to be yourself.”
