Creativity with Travel

Traveling can be disruptive on the creative journey.

We hear a lot in the creative community and the ability to work anywhere, anytime.

The Challenge

I like road trips and have been traveling around the US for the last few months and taking time to reflect on the next steps in my life.

What I've discovered as I travel around is that the time to create is more challenging, and the distractions also increase. I want to slow down and relax more. Not the worst thing in the world, and understand that is the point.

Considerations

The one thing we all need to consider is how we spend our time and how we can create as part of the journey. Using your journey to influence your content is a great idea, and you have many opportunities to create something unique as you travel and experience life.

Creativity results from your experience, and it's OK to use it.

Have patience and know you can be flexible and stay resilient.

One fantastic process I've used to help inspire my traveling creativity is consuming podcasts that allow you to expand your ideas and perspective.

Even alone, you can still gather ideas and inspiration from others through podcasts.

Pay attention to the content you consume and the ideas you use to create your material.

Conclusions
